TXT and BTS Put K-pop Back in the Billboard 200 Top 5
K-pop has once again taken over the Billboard 200, with TXT and BTS appearing together in the top 5 of the U.S. albums chart. The chart dated May 2, 2026 showed TXT debuting at No. 3, while BTS remained at No. 4 with “Arirang.”
TXT reached the position with the album “7th Year: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns,” which became the group’s eighth project to enter the Billboard 200 top 10. The achievement highlights TXT’s consistent presence in the American market and expands the group’s international track record.
The strong debut was boosted by physical album sales, with the project available in more than 20 CD versions featuring collectible items such as photocards, stickers, and posters. This format remains one of the key drivers behind K-pop groups’ performance on U.S. charts.
Meanwhile, BTS kept “Arirang” among the five most popular albums in the United States, ranking No. 4 after holding the No. 3 spot the previous week. The result confirms the album’s continued strength weeks after its release.
With TXT and BTS both in the top 5, HYBE once again secured a major presence on the biggest albums chart in the United States, reinforcing the global reach of its groups in 2026.
