ILLIT Unveils a Special Version of “MAMIHLAPINATAPAI” Inspired by Gua Sha
On April 1, the physical campaign for “MAMIHLAPINATAPAI” received a new update with the reveal of a special version inspired by gua sha. According to the official announcement, this edition includes a ceramic object inspired by the shape of the massage tool, along with a pouch, mini CD, lyric booklet, and photocards, reinforcing that ILLIT’s comeback would not be promoted only through traditional album versions.
The new edition expanded the range of formats already associated with the release and further helped distinguish the physical package of “MAMIHLAPINATAPAI” within the pre-order campaign opened the previous day. With this move, the group also began turning the comeback into a collectibles-driven campaign, with versions that went beyond the standard photobook format.
