BOYNEXTDOOR Prepares New Chapter After “The Action” With May Comeback
BOYNEXTDOOR’s May comeback represents the group’s next step after the “The Action” era, which began in October 2025. The mini album marked an important moment in the group’s international career, debuting in the Top 40 of the Billboard 200 and reaching No. 1 on Billboard’s World Albums chart.
With “The Action,” BOYNEXTDOOR also continued its streak of entries on the Billboard 200 among the group’s eligible albums. The project also appeared on charts such as Independent Albums, Top Current Album Sales, and Top Album Sales, while bringing the group back to No. 1 on the Emerging Artists chart.
Before the new comeback, the group also released the live album “BOYNEXTDOOR TOUR ‘KNOCK ON Vol.1’ FINAL – LIVE,” announced for February 4, 2026. The project includes performances from the final show of the group’s first tour at KSPO Dome in Seoul, reinforcing the transition between the tour cycle and preparations for new music.
The group’s 2026 schedule also includes an appearance at Weverse Con Festival 2026. BOYNEXTDOOR is listed in the Day 1 lineup, scheduled for June 6, during the Weverse Con portion of the festival. The event will take place on June 6 and 7 in Seoul, with programming at KSPO DOME and 88 Lawn Field in Olympic Park.
The timing between the May comeback and Weverse Con increases expectations that the new song may become part of the group’s upcoming performances. There is no official confirmation of a new-song stage at the festival yet, but the schedule places BOYNEXTDOOR in a strategic window: first the May release, then a major June performance in front of fans of several HYBE artists and the broader K-pop scene.
What is known so far is that the group will return with new music in May. What remains to be revealed is the release title, exact date, concept, teaser schedule, physical or digital format, and whether the comeback will arrive as a single, mini album, or another type of project.
